Began a new mural today for a client in Columbia. The imagery: A lovely blue waterfall falling into an ocean pool.  It’s for a little girl’s room, so it’s somewhat realistic, but simplified. The water flows over the top of the doorframe, then slightly diagonally across the wall. The composition allows for furniture arrangement to change. If the parents end up needing to block the lower part of the mural with a bookshelf or something, the waterfall will still be fully visible over top. I’m excited to be adding a few ocean critters next week. The work is going quickly, so I think it will be totally finished in three sessions. This is my third mural for this family. The others include a tree with a bird nest and squirrel, and a sunflower which is painted around a circular window.
